DETROIT HOUSE PORTRAIT
Marilyn Florence Jankowiak was born in 1939 and grew up on Clippert Street in Michigan - Martin, Detroit. She shared the upstairs flat with her parents, three siblings, and the little black dog on the stairs. Her maternal grandparents lived in the downstairs flat. Marilyn later went on to become the head nurse of Cardiology at Henry Ford Hospital.
For Mother's Day, her daughters commissioned me to draw a portrait of Marilyn's childhood home. I have aimed to portray the house as it would have looked in the 1940s when Marilyn would sneak up to the attic to hide and look out over the Detroit rooftops.

I make bespoke commissions of anything from your house, university or favourite building. If you are interested to enquire about a possible commission then please send me an email via hellopernilleeriksen@gmail.com. I will be happy to discuss the potential project with you and send over a price estimate.
ARCHITECTURE ART
I make architectural illustrations in graphite and coloured pencils on heavyweight fine art paper. A selection of my original pencil drawings is available as fine art prints in my web store.
All art prints in my shop are premium, archive quality giclées, made with archival pigment inks on matt, textured museum-quality paper.
