THE TOBACCO WAREHOUSE IN LIVERPOOL

Liverpool Print - Liverpool Poster - Liv

The world has gone vertical, so I have made a horizontal print of the Tobacco Warehouse on Stanley Dock in Liverpool.

This is the top part of the world's largest brick warehouse, the filming location of Garrison Lane in the British crime drama series Peaky Blinders, located just across the dock from Titanic Hotel Liverpool.

Built in 1901, this Grade II listed building was originally used to store shipments of tobacco when the Port of Liverpool’s trading was at its peak. After laying derelict for decades, the structure is now being transformed into 550 luxury apartments. I am glad to see this redbrick masterpiece repurposed with respect to its history, and with this print I hope to help preserve just a fraction of Liverpool's heritage and maritime past.

This drawing is part of my LIVERPOOL COLLECTION.
